All around, Democrats smeared egg on their own faces and rubbed it in like it was face cream. Their latest attempt to tie Donald Trump to Jeffrey Epstein has backfired spectacularly. For all their hooting and hollering, it is Democrats themselves who appear entangled in Epstein’s web.

Rep. Stacey Plaskett showed this in real time that time when she leaned on Epstein for cues during a congressional hearing to question Michael Cohen, Trump’s former lawyer. Reports suggest she even initiated the call to Epstein to see how she could leverage information against Trump. Watching Democrats twist themselves into knots to explain this away reveals their hypocrisy in full view. Plaskett’s connections to Epsteing are noble, nothing to see here.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries followed suit. He tried to link Trump to a deceptive, heavily redacted email that conveniently hid information favorable to Trump. Yet Jeffries’ campaign was found to have solicited Epstein for money. When confronted, he went before cameras, looked earnestly into the lens, and called Rep. James Comer a “stone cold liar” for the claims. But the next day Comer returned to the House floor with receipts, proving Jeffries’ campaign had indeed reached out to Epstein for money.

The contrast was stark: Democrats released just ten pages of the Epstein files, deceptively redacted to paint Trump in a bad light, while Republicans released all 30,000 pages for public scrutiny. The Democrats’ selective editing concealed exculpatory information that would have cleared Trump.  But that’s par for the course, birds fly, fish swim, Democrats lie.

And the egg keeps coming. Rep. Jasmine Crockett accused Republicans of soliciting Epstein’s money, only to be forced into retreat when even friendly media had to confront her misrepresentation. Each denial, each redaction, each false accusation only brings more incoming egg splattering across Democratic faces.

Here’s the point: Republicans are not more virtuous because of some special quality they possess. The difference is that Democrats are so consumed by Trump derangement, they keep setting traps that ensnare themselves. Their obsession blinds them, and in their desperation to destroy Trump, they reveal their own entanglements and hypocrisy.

Oh well one more attempt to get Trump fails. How often have we seen this story?
