In light of the recent Roe vs Wade Supreme court decision, and the left’s unhinged response to it; let us revisit when Senator Chuck Shumer threatened two members of the Supreme court.
This was Chucky:
“I want to tell you Neil Gorusch, and you Brett Kavanaugh, you have unleashed a whirlwind, and you will pay the price,” Schumer said. “You won’t know what hit you, if you go forward with these awful decisions.”
He made these threats on the steps of the Supremen Court. In a very rare occurence the Supreme Court felt it necessary to respond to this threat, and Chief Justice John Roberts put out a public statement addressing the Senator’s threat.
Shumer was not phased though. He responded “For Justice Roberts to follow the right wing’s deliberate misinterpretation of what Sen. Schumer said, while remaining silent when President Trump attacked Justices Sotomayor and Ginsburg last week, shows Justice Roberts does not just call balls and strikes.”
Did you get that? Trump criticizing Sotomayer and Ginsburg was the same as Shumer threatening Gorsuch and Kavanaugh. This is who these people are. They never fail to redirect. They never fail to project.
In addition, why do they always have this cavalier attitude towards their opponents? They know that the media, Hollywood, Big tech, academia and all of the left wing voices with the megaphone will never hold them to account
Now imagine a right wing politician, lets say Ted Cruz, saying something like this to Justice Breyer and Justice Sotomayor. What would the response be? But Chucky Shumer had no such worries. He is a leftist you see, and being on the left means never having to say you are sorry.
If on the rare occasion that you do say sorry, all is immediately forgiven, but most of the time the media would just make excuses for you, divert attention away from the behavior, and find some way to turn the attention to some right winger who did something bad some time ago.
The same virulent protestations that we usually see toward the right when they step out of line is seldom (if ever) ginned up against the left.
